Caitlin Clark’s Return: When Will This Star Shine Again?

Written by on July 24, 2025

Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever’s standout guard, is still waiting for the green light to get back in the game after a slew of medical evaluations this week. While her team reported no new injuries, missing three consecutive games—including that grand All-Star showdown—is tough for any athlete, let alone one with Clark’s talent. It’s like watching a lion paced in a zoo; we know she’s capable of greatness, but we’ve just got to be patient.

Clark’s current struggle comes on the heels of a right groin injury that she sustained back in mid-July against the Connecticut Sun. Adding to her challenges this season are earlier issues with her left groin and a left quad strain. Maybe her body is staging a silent protest against all the running? Whatever the case, it makes us wonder: is it better to rush back to the court or take the time you need to heal?

The Fever are cheering her on from the sidelines, hoping she’ll be back in action soon, but if they really want her to recover, they might consider sending her off on a vacation—complete with a personal groin therapist and an all-you-can-eat buffet! This season has been a rollercoaster ride for Clark, and we’re all hoping the ups soon outnumber the downs.

What do you think? Should athletes prioritize their health over competitive pressure? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments!
