Lendingahand is excited to host May’s Our Common Theme event at Zianos on Dupont Road on Wednesday, May 22nd at 11:30 AM. On Sunday June 2nd ABATE of Indiana will be having their 24th Annual Mayor’s Ride. The location is from K-Mart Plaza Southtown-7530 S. Anthony Blvd., in Fort Wayne, IN to Downtown Decatur Plaza in Decatur, IN Ride Registration is from 9-11am. Ride Departure is at 11am. The show starts at 1pm at Downtown Decatur Courthouse.  The Destiny Family of Faith in Kendallville is holding their 1st annual "Destiny Family Jam" on May 31st through June 2nd at the Noble County Saddle Club in Albion. VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILDREN AND ADULTS UNITE AT FORT WAYNE 5K VISIONWALK

 On Saturday, June 8, 2013 join hundreds in the fight against blindness at the Fort Wayne Vision Walk, the national signature fundraising event of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Registration: 8:30 a.m. | Walk Starts: 10:00 a.m. Headwaters Park – German fest Grounds. The address is 333 South Clinton Street Fort Wayne, IN 46802.

Since 2006, the program has raised over $26 million to fund sight-saving research for retinal diseases including retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration and Usher syndrome, which collectively affect more than 10 million Americans.

INDIANA STATE TROOPERS YOUTH SERVICES CAREER CAMP

The Indiana State Police are hosting their annual youth summer camp at Trine University in Angola. This exciting opportunity is for boys and girls ages fourteen to eighteen years old. It will be held the week of July 14-19 2013. Registration is online at trooper.org. The camp will provide the youth with hands on police training, defensive tactics, firearm simulation, police demonstrations, teach them how to conduct a crime scene investigation, show them traffic stops and much more. Trine University will provide delicious and nutricious meals, as well as comfortable sleeping arrangements for all.
