I like Pale Ales. I dig IPA's, too...but sometimes I find the regular ol' pale ale a bit more subtle. They don't have to try as hard. I'm also sure that John and Barry will be glad to take their foot off the throttle a bit and enjoy this brew. Gnaw Bone strikes a nice balance between some sweet caramel malts and a bit of the ol' roasty, nutty hops. Nice, clean finish, too, without the acrid aftertaste. And I absolutely LOVE that this is another Indiana brewery. The Hoosier State should be damned proud of its craft breweries. Support 'em, and enjoy this nice beer
John TheMexican:2.5/5 This one was pretty good. By now I can tell my taste in these craft beers are starting to change a bit. I can certainly tell what I like in a good craft beer. This one had the right mixture of everything for me. A little too bitter for my liking on first taste but that changed by the time I got to the bottom of the bottle. It reminded me a lot of a Honey Brown to be honest. I dug it, enjoyed it once. But probably wouldn't by a sixer.

I normally can drink some Pale Ale beer. This beer on the other hand was dancing with the line of IPA beer(if you've been reading these blogs, well then you already know my thoughts on IPA). It didn't have a bad taste because of the malts but once the aftertaste & hops kicked in it made me look at the bottle and ponder if I should drink anymore. At best this beer is that weird cross-dresser standing on the corner of ihop during the summer. Upon closer look... take a step back.
